Greek Kalamon Olives

Organic Kalamon olives harvested by hand by the entire sisterhood at Ormylia convent in northern Greece. These are delicious olives.

This convent is a hive of traditional agricultural practice, undertaken by the nuns who settled here in the mid-1970s. The olives undergo natural fermentation with very little disturbance bar the addition of a little oregano and olive oil from the farm and a natural sea salt brine, meaning they retain their rich and sun-fuelled taste.
