A quick blog post to let you all know that we have an exciting event coming up!  For two nights, February 11th and 12th, Gill Meller and I are taking over Flour and Ash and cooking dishes from his acclaimed new book ‘Time’.

Ive known Gill for a while now, we were colleagues at River Cottage a few years ago.  Since leaving Gill has had two books published.  His first ‘Gather’ won just about every award going and was called ‘Just stunning’ by our old boss, Hugh.  He was right of course.  The second book ‘Time’ feels like a love letter to the process of cooking and I’ve never read anything like it in a cook book.  Gill has an artists temperament that shines though his cooking and his writing, and he has used it to perfect ‘rustic’.

It will be a pleasure to return to Flour and Ash after they hosted the sell out Goatober Bristol event.  Steve Gale and his team are wonderful hosts and they have a massive wood fired oven, which is a lot of fun to cook with. See you there!
